Decide where you want to wear the lapel pin. Most people in business wear the pins on their suit lapels. Men can also wear their pins toward the middle of their ties. Women can wear the lapel pin on the left side of their shirt near their heart. Women that wear suits can also wear it on the lapel of the suit.

Choose how many you want to wear. If you are wearing a lapel pin for promotional reasons then you will want to wear the most recent one on the lapel of your suit. If you are wearing a lapel pin for patriotic reasons then it is considered OK to wear up to two pins.

Make sure that the pin sits upright and not upside down or crooked. That could offend some people. Check the tightness of the pin to make sure that it will not move around as you walk.
