Instructions

    • 1

Open the photo of your face in Adobe Photoshop.

    • 2

Zoom in on your eyes using the "Zoom Tool." Select the irises of your eyes in the photo using the "Polygonal Lasso Tool." Don't worry about selecting the pupil as well because the digital painting won't affect it.

    • 3

Go to "Select" menu and choose "Feather...." Type a value of "2" in the "Feather Radius" field.

    • 4

Go to the "Window" menu and select "Layers" to bring up the layers palette. Create a new layer.

    • 5

Click on your new layer. Pick a color in the tool bar that you'd like to try. Go to "Edit" menu and select "Fill." Click "OK."

    • 6

Select the drop-down menu in the "Layers" palette and set your new layer to "Overlay." Change the "Opacity" setting to 85% to get a more natural view of how your tinted contact lenses will look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Hold down the "alt" key (or the "option" key on a Mac) while using the "Polygonal Lasso Tool" to de-select areas you don't want colored.

  • You can try different lens colors by holding down the "control" key (or the "option" key on a Mac), clicking on the new layer, and then filling it with a different color.

  • It's difficult to pick colors that will exactly match your contact lenses, but this will give you a better idea of what you want before you visit the store.
