How to Wrap the Line on the Weed Eater

Weed eaters are handy yard tools to have when cutting the grass that is located near fences, trees or the foundation of the house. With each use, the weed eater string gets worn and will sometimes break in the middle of using it. To continue the job, you must restring the line of the weed eater. Although it may seem like a daunting task to perform, with a little time and a small amount of patience, you will have the weed eater repaired.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Spool of weed eater cord
  1. Step 1

    Feed the line through the "eye" of the chamber.

  2. Step 2

    Wrap the string following the direction of the imprinted arrows. Continue wrapping the string until it fills the depth of the chamber.

  3. Step 3

    Insert the ends of the line into the holes located on the right and left of the chamber.

  4. Step 4

    Snap the chamber into place to ensure its secured.

Tips & Warnings
  • Unplug an electric weed eater before changing the string.
