Spray the area of your carpet that has gas on it with Prosolve Carpet Cleaner. Let it sit for twenty minutes and then lay an old rag over the spot. Press down so that the gas leaves the carpet and clings to the old rag. Cover the area with vinegar which will clean up any left over gas and get rid of the odor. Lightly scrub with a fresh rag and air dry.

Tips & Warnings
If you can't get rid of the gas odor it may have leaked down it to your padding. You may need to call a professional and have the padding replaced.
Don't smoke a cigarette or light a match near the gas spot. It can catch fire in less than one second if a spark was to land on it.
