How to Become a Teacher's Favorite

Although some would say being a teacher's pet or a teacher's favorite is not a good thing, the rewards are well worth it. By being a teacher's favorite, it is much easier to get recommendations, scholarship letters, and college application references. Being a teacher's pet does not mean never making a mistake in class or always having the answers to questions the teacher asks. It simply means you do your best in everything you do in class. Below are a few steps to help you become a teacher's favorite.

Instructions

1. Come to class on time. Believe it or not, teachers notice and recognize students who are always on time and ready to learn.

2. Be prepared. Have all of your notes, homework and any other material needed for class.

3. Sit in the first two rows of the classroom. This may seem basic, but if you sit in the front of the room, not only will you stay awake, but the teacher will notice.

4. Be engaged in the lesson. When the teacher asks a question and you know the answer, raise your hand. Do not be afraid to talk. If you do not understand a question, ask the teacher for further information. Teachers like feedback from students. It's their job to teach you, so ask questions.

5. Help the teacher whenever he asks for a volunteer.

6. At the end of class, tell the teacher how much you enjoyed the lesson and how excited you are for the next one.
