Things You'll Need:
- Pliers
- Golf club repairing tool
- Golf or electrical tape
-
Step 1
Use a tool that repairs golf club dents. You drill a small hole into the club and insert the tool, sliding it up and down the club slowly until the club reforms back into shape. There will be a hole in club, but you can repair it with generic things, such as caulk, paint and tape.
-
Step 2
Take a pair of pliers and gently push the sides that are not dented, almost as if you were trying to get a dent out of a soda bottle. It will reform the golf club if you're careful. But there will be marks from the pliers on the golf club. It won't be perfect, but it will be better than nothing.
-
Step 3
Use any tools or pliers carefully, as you can very easily scratch the paint. Anything that comes into physical contact with the club can scratch the paint.
-
Step 4
Bend the club back into shape if it's bent. It won't get the dent out, but it will be straight. You might need to put one end in a vise or something strong to hold it while you're bending. Metal is hard to bend with bare hands and hold at the same time.
-
Step 5
Tape around where the dent is. It won't look pretty, but it will hide the dent and damage, as well as even out the club to its the original circumference before it was dented. You can use either golf tape or electrical tape for this job.
