How to Recover Deleted Files From SanDisk

SanDisk is a popular media storage company that makes a variety of flash memory and other storage devices. As with any sort of portable computer storage, there is often a risk of inadvertently deleting the files. Because this device is portable, it may be impossible to use the normal "un-delete" utility that comes with most computers. Fortunately, these deleted files may be recoverable by using special software.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a recovery program. There are many such programs available, but one that has a free trial and is specific to SanDisk is the SanDisk Memory Card Recovery Program (see Resources).

    • 2

Insert your SanDisk Memory card, using whatever connection it normally requires (often a USB port).

    • 3

Open the damaged SanDisk device in the recovery program. To do this, click the "Open Card" button, and then select which memory card you would like to open.

    • 4

Select the files you would like to recover. Once you have opened the SanDisk device, the recovery program will automatically list all files it will be able to recover. Simply select the files from the list.

    • 5

Click "Recover". The recovery program will then recover the deleted files and resave them to the SanDisk device.
