How to Make a Homemade Goose Decoy
In order to get large flocks of geese to land within shooting distance of you, you need a large, convincing spread of decoys. However, pre-manufactured decoys are expensive, and purchasing a large spread could be too costly. Luckily, if you have access to a pile of old tires, you can make your own large decoy spread.
Instructions

1
Cut the bead of the tires (both of the edges) with the wire cutters in four evenly spaced areas around the tire.
-
2
Use the box cutter to cut across the tread to the areas where you cut the bead so that you have four similar-sized parts of tire. The tires will be curved slightly, which will allow them to stand up off of the ground and more easily be seen by flying geese.

Paint the tread of the tires gray. Spray paint the sides with the white paint. Try to get the paints to blend into one another, like a goose's feathers look. To use the decoys, set them upright in a field in a formation that you have observed geese in before.

Tips & Warnings
These decoys work great as "filler" decoys to add more body to your spread, amongst other full-size manufactured decoys.
