Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1-inch by 6-inch board approximately 4 feet in length
  • 6 wood screws
  • Screwdriver
  • Wood glue
  • Duct tape
  • Round toothpicks
  1. Step 1

Cut the board into three pieces. Cut one piece three feet long and cut the other two pieces into six-inch pieces.

  2. Step 2

Place the long board flat on a work surface and glue the two smaller pieces to it on the ends. Screw two wood screws into each end to reinforce the ends.

  3. Step 3

Screw a wood screw into the center of each wood end board. Leave these two screws extending out of the wood approximately 1/2 an inch to serve as anchors for the beading thread.

  4. Step 4

Glue toothpicks to both outside end boards with the majority of the toothpick against the board and only approximately an inch extending above the edge of the board. The toothpick should be placed approximately 1/8 of an inch apart all along the edge of the boards.

The toothpicks serve as dividers for the rows of beading thread for the loom. After gluing the toothpicks into position, place a strip of duct tape along the toothpicks to further secure the toothpicks to the wood.
