How to Download Free Toshiba Drivers

Although new Toshiba products likely include the latest instructions, owners of devices manufactured by the electronics company can download free hardware updates. These updates fix flaws discovered in the operating software or hardware firmware. To ensure optimum performance, owners should visit Toshiba's support website. There, the latest hardware and software drivers are available. Manufacturers develop drivers to translate native commands into a language understood by various devices, such as a monitor or other peripheral.

Instructions

1. Visit the Toshiba support website (see Resources). The page will present a list of urgent support news, such as recall notices, newly added software or hardware support and links to repair sites and message forums for Toshiba product owners. The "Download" menu item lets you select the product type for which you seek a free device driver.

2. Pick your product type or family from the three-panel selector, where you can choose from among laptops, accessories and projectors. Enter the product's model number, if you know it, to speed the search process.
   Once you select a model, the next screen will display all matching updates, including the date the driver was updated, the category (BIOS, for instance) and a description of the driver update.

3. Select the driver's description and click "Download." Installation instructions are then provided for updating the Toshiba device's software or hardware drivers.
