Fix a Shower With No Water Pressure

Low or no water pressure is an annoyance for anyone who loves a daily shower. High water pressure is necessary for its maximum cleaning and rinsing power. Many showers and shower heads lose pressure over time and usage. Luckily, bringing them back to full power is fairly easy. Most pressure problems have to do with limescale buildup in the shower head. Clearing and dissolving the limescale will cause your shower to run like new, with high pressure. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Mix equal parts water and vinegar (try 2 cups of each) into a bowl. Add 4 tsp. of lemon juice, and mix well.

    • 2

Pour the mixture into a gallon-sized plastic bag.

    • 3

Wrap the plastic bag onto the shower head so that the shower head is immersed in the water/vinegar mixture.

    • 4

Secure with an elastic band around the neck of the shower head.

    • 5

Leave to soak for 24 hours.

    • 6

Remove the plastic bag and discard. Using a scrub brush, scrub the shower head with plain water.

    • 7

Run the shower on its hottest setting for a few minutes. You should see an improvement in water pressure right away.

    • 8

If you do not see an improvement in pressure, repeat the process again, only with undiluted vinegar.
