Make Finger Skateboards

One of the most popular new trends within skateboarding are miniature model replicas of skateboards known as "finger skateboards." These small versions of skateboards are most typically made to function just like a regular skateboard and allows individuals to be able to use their fingers to make the board do similar tricks that a full sized skateboard can do. You can make your very own finger skateboards and have a lot of fun learning how to do tricks with them.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the back piece of cardboard from a spiral notebook. This piece of cardboard will be used to actually make the finger skateboard deck. This type of cardboard is best because it is not too thin, but also not too thick.

    • 2

Flip through a skateboard catalog and choose a skateboard deck design from the catalog and then cut out the picture of the design. This will be the template for the skate deck.

    • 3

Place the template design you cut out on your piece of cardboard. Take a pencil and carefully trace the outline of the design onto the cardboard.

    • 4

Cut out the traced skate deck design from the cardboard.

    • 5

Take the board you cut out and fit it onto the back of a low grit piece of sandpaper. Trace the outline of the board onto the sandpaper and cut it out.

    • 6

Take a black permanent marker and color in the rough side of the sandpaper skate deck you cut out. This will be the grip tape on the top surface of the finger skateboard.

    • 7

Rub some glue on the cardboard skateboard deck and glue the grip tape sandpaper down. Flip the board over and use markers to draw some designs on the bottom of the skateboard deck.
