Things You'll Need:
- Roasted almonds
- Manually operated oil press
- Paper towels
- Cup

Step 1
Wash all of the almonds in cold water. Rinse them thoroughly to remove dirt and any pesticides that may have been used to keep insects and other pests away.

Make sure the oil press is clean before use. If there is any dirt or mold residue, the oil secretion will be more likely to taste foul. You can wipe it down with a damp paper towel.

Dispense your cleaned almonds into the top of the oil press. Do not fill the press too full or some may fall out when pressing them. Just bring the level right up to the edge.

Set up the cup so that the almond oil from the press will fall into the cup. Some presses have a holder for the cup, while others may require you to simply place any cup that will fit below a spout.

Turn the crank until you have extracted all of the oil from the almonds. You will know when you are done because although you may still be pressing the almonds, no oil will be coming out of the press into the cup. Once your oil cup is full, dump it into another container. Repeat as desired.
