How to Use a Mini Food Processor

The mini food processor is quickly becoming a must have in many home kitchens. The mini food processor is usually under a 3-cup capacity. Its versatility makes it the perfect kitchen equipment to create sauces, puree, salsa, pesto or for fine chopping. The mini food processor is great for small families and takes up less counter space than the traditional, larger food processors. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the work bowl and insert the chopping blade onto the processor's center post.

    • 2

Add ingredients into the work bowl. For best results, do not add large items such as whole tomatoes or potatoes. Cut larger ingredients into smaller chunks first.

    • 3

Place the cover onto the work bowl and lock it into position.

    • 4

Place the covered work bowl onto the mini food processor unit and lock it into position. Plug the food processor into the electric outlet.

    • 5

Press the start button or turn the control knob to the desired speed.

    • 6

Once the food is chopped to the desired texture, stop the mini food processor, remove the cover and work bowl, then remove the food from the bowl. Use caution when working around the blades.

    • 7

Some food processors have attachments or different features. If your processor has a food chute, you will be able to add foods to the mixture via the food chute.
Some processors have a slicer/shredder attachment. These attachment blades are usually placed at the top of the food processor. The food will be pushed through the food chute and then sliced by the attached blade.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful when removing the stainless steel blades as they are very sharp. Do not add boiling liquids to the processor. Do not overload the work bowl.
