How to Save a Contact List in MSN

There are two ways to save an MSN contact list: On your MSN online account or to your computer's hard drive. Saving the contact list to your MSN account allows you to access the list when you are online. Saving to your computer allows you to access the information offline or upload the information to other email programs such as Outlook, AIM, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail.

Instructions

Save Contact List to MSN Account

1. Open a browser window and go to Home.live.com or to MSN.com and log into your MSN account.

2. Click the "People" link at the top of the account homepage to access your contact list.

3. Click the "Edit" tab and add a new contact or edit an existing contact.

4. Click the "Save" tab at the bottom of the editing page. The new or modified contact will be saved to your contact list in your MSN account.

Save MSN Contact List to Computer

1. Open a browser window and go to Home.live.com or to MSN.com and log into your MSN account.

2. Click the "People" link at the top of the account homepage to access your contact list.

3. Click the "Manage" tab to open the drop-down menu and choose "Export."

4. Complete the CAPTCHA security code and click "Export."

5. Click "Save" and choose a folder on your computer. Click "Save" to send your MSN contact list to that folder. The contact list will be exported as a spreadsheet file and can be accessed from your hard drive.
