Let's face it. Not everyone is born with curves, like Beyonce Knowles and Scarlett Johansson. Curves are considered sexy and appealing, because they exude femininity and sex appeal. Typically, the hourglass figure is one that displays a round bottom, a full bosom and a definitive waistline. Whether you were born with only a few or none of these features, you can get the curves you desire.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You'll Need:

  • Bras
  • Tanning salon
  • Sunless tanner

    How to Get More Curves

  1. Step 1

Head to the gym. Establishing a workout routine can develop or accentuate your curves. Focus on the areas you want to enhance, such as your bottom, your stomach, your hips, your legs and your chest. Lunges, squats and the stair stepper are great for your legs and gluteus maximus. For hips and stomach, do crunches and leg presses. To lift and firm your chest, use a machine that works your pectoral muscles.

  2. Step 2

Mold your derriere with the right pants. Choosing the right pants will not only flatter your figure, but can also help you create a sexy backside. The key to finding the right jeans for your body type is to determine your goal. If your goal is to create a fuller looking bottom, focus on low-rider jeans with bulkier pockets to add roundness and fullness. If you want to minimize your backside, choose darker jeans with a low waist. Choose jeans with flat back pockets to create a smaller derriere. When looking for professional looking pants, choose darker colors, such as black or dark brown to minimize your backside. To create a fuller backside, choose lighter colors, such as gray, taupe or beige.

  3. Step 3

Invest in the right lingerie. No matter what your cup size, choosing the right bra can help define and shape your chest. If you want a fuller looking chest, choose padded bras that push up your breasts. The end result will be a fuller and rounder looking chest. If you're worried about a padded bra looking unnatural, invest in a water bra, which has water-filled inserts that look and feel natural. If you have a large chest and want to create a less dramatic look, choose bras that support your breasts, yet don't have a pushup effect.

  4. Step 4

Get a tan. Giving your skin a golden summer glow can help your legs, minimize your backside and add subtle sheen to your chest. You can get a golden glow the old-fashioned way by lying in the sun or visiting a tanning salon. If you don't want to risk skin damage, opt for an airbrush tan or a Mystic Tan. For an airbrush tan, a salon tech will airbrush tanning solution onto your body to give you a natural-looking tan. Experienced techs know the tricks and techniques that define specific areas, such as your arms, legs and chest. If you opt for a Mystic Tan, you enter an enclosed tanning booth, and the sunless tanner is sprayed directly onto your body. A golden glow is achieved in a matter of minutes. The final option is to apply a daily moisturizer, such as Dove Energy Glow or Jergens Natural Glow. The process can take up to a week to achieve maximum results, but it is cheaper and more subtle then the other methods.

  5. Step 5

Take a permanent approach. If you're fed up with padded push-up bras and feel you don't get enough definition from specific pants styles, plastic surgery is an alternative. Procedures such as breast and buttock augmentation help you create a full chest and round backside. If you want to minimize your chest or reduce body fat, a breast reduction and liposuction are two plastic surgery alternatives. It is important to understand that these procedures are permanent, costly and often have painful recovery times.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you're having trouble developing a workout routine, find a personal trainer. He will help you develop a plan to meet your fitness goals and give you guidance on your workout routine.
  • Don't rush into plastic surgery. Take your time to find a surgeon, learn about the procedure, learn about potential risks and decide whether or not plastic surgery is the right option for you.
