A headband is a practical accessory that allows you to keep the hair out of your face without sacrificing style. As women continue to seek creative accessories and styles, thin dual-strand headbands have upstaged the classic wide headband design. Made of either elastic materials or plastic, dual-strand headbands come in many styles, enabling you to create different hairstyles that emphasize the hair's length, bangs or volume.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dual-strand headband Hairbrush Fine-tooth comb
  1. Step 1

Brush hair to remove any knots and tangles.

  2. Step 2

Position the headband approximately an inch away from the beginning of your hairline. If you are using a plastic dual-strand headband, simply slide it through your hair. If using an elastic dual-strand accessory, use your hands to stretch it out before fitting it around your head

  3. Step 3

Use a fine-tooth comb to tease the hair that is behind the headband if you wish to create additional volume at the crown of your head.

  4. Step 4

Put the portion of hair that is located behind the headband into a ponytail or bun if you do not want to leave it loose.

  5. Step 5

Use the comb to arrange your bangs if you wish to show them. Use a gently downward pulling motion to remove the bangs from under the strands of the headband. Finish by arranging them either toward one side of your forehead or evenly across.

Tips & Warnings
  • Before putting on the headband, spritz fine hair with a root-lifting spray, and blow it dry to help the hair hold volume.
