How to Decorate a Girl's Soccer Room

Decorating a child's room is one way to bring her personality into the family home. There are many products on the market for girls who have an interest in the sport of soccer. From autographed memorabilia to themed picture frames, you can choose to keep the room simple or to go as elaborate as you like. Soccer merchandise is available in a wide range of prices. Decorating items may be obtained from department and sports specialty stores as well as mail-order companies.

Things You'll Need

• White paint
• Painting supplies
• Soccer ball wallpaper border
• 2 soccer posters
• 2 poster frames
• Green curtains
• Soccer ball curtain rod
• 2 soccer curtain hold-backs
• White sheet set
• Green comforter
• 1 soccer ball throw pillow
• 1 soccer ball beanbag chair

Instructions

1. Clear all items from the room. Paint the walls white. Allow to dry thoroughly. Apply soccer ball wallpaper border around the top of all walls. Place furniture in the room.

2. Frame posters in poster frames. Hang posters on either side and just above the dresser or desk. The placement will preferably be across from the bed.

3. Hang green curtains on soccer ball curtain rod. Attach soccer curtain hold-backs on either side of the window. The green curtains will add a contrast to the walls and will tie in with the bedding.

4. Put the white sheet set and the green comforter on the bed. Top with soccer ball throw pillow. The green will represent a soccer field and will add contrast to the black and white.

5. Place the soccer ball bean bag chair in an easily visible spot in the room. This acts as the finishing touch for the space.
