How to Make Custom Baseball Gloves
Baseball gloves have changed dramatically since they were first introduced. What began as one single, primitive design has evolved to gloves with many different styles and features. Many companies now offer the buyer a completely customizable baseball glove in which they can choose the dimensions, colors, stitching and even personalize it with their own name and team number.

1
Decide which position of glove you would like to customize. Each position on the field has their own style of glove. Catcher's mitts, first baseman's gloves, outfielder's gloves and infielder's gloves are all different, so it is important to know which position you will be playing before customizing the glove.

2
Choose the height of the glove. Middle infield positions like second base and shortstop use a smaller glove than all the other positions. For these, choose either a 10-inch or 11-inch model, depending on what makes you feel more comfortable. For outfielders, the glove height is much taller, which makes it easier to reach fly balls. Outfielder's gloves usually have a height of 13 inches. However, you can choose to have an oversized outfielder's glove, and make the height 14 inches.

Select the web style that you would like. Some either have a pocket that is completely closed, or one that appears to be a # sign with openings that are stitched together. The only drawback of the open style is that the stitching sometimes comes loose, and the openings can become big enough for the ball to break through when you are trying to catch it.

Decide on the color you would like for your new glove, as well as the glove's stitching. Black and brown are the most common baseball glove colors. However, they also offer a customizable option that can be selected to make your glove in your individual teams colors.
