The PSP-Go's Bluetooth capability enables it to connect to a number of devices, including a PS3 controller.

Introduced in 2009 as a more portable version of the Sony PSP, the PSP-Go featured a number of upgrades to Sony's handheld. A sliding screen, built-in hard drive, and Bluetooth capability added value to the new device as well as functionality. The inclusion of Bluetooth wireless in the PSP-Go allowed for a number of devices to be connected to the handheld, including the PlayStation 3 Dualshock controller.

  • PSPGo w/USB cable
  • PlayStation 3 console
  • Extra Dualshock 3 controller w/mini USB cable

Instructions

      Turn on both the PSPGo and the PlayStation 3.

      Select "Bluetooth Device Settings" from the "Settings" menu on the PSPGo.

      Turn on Bluetooth connection, if it is not already activated.

      Select "Manage Bluetooth Device." When asked by the PSPGo if you want to register a device, select "yes."

      Select "Register a PS3 System Controller." Select "OK" when the device lists the required components.

      Connect the PSPGo to the PlayStation 3 console.

      Connect the Dualshock 3 controller to the PS3 with the mini USB cable.

      Wait while the console connects the controller to the PSPGo. When the console has completed the process, disconnect the controller and PSPGo from the PlayStation 3 console.

      Press the PS button on the Dualshock 3. The controller will then be connected to the PSPGo, and can be used to navigate the system menu and play games.
