How to Find People on Orkut

Orkut is a social networking site run by Google. On Orkut you may create a profile, find friends and communicate with new friends. You can network with other Orkut users who have similar interests are in similar career fields or who are in your same city. Finding people on Orkut is somewhat easy; it's largely a matter of setting up an Orkut account.

Things You'll Need:

• Gmail account

1. Type orkut.com in the URL window of your web browser. Orkut will ask you to sign in to your Gmail account by typing in your user name and password. You are instantly signed in to your Orkut account.

2. Click on "Add Friends" in the upper right-hand corner of your Orkut account. Friend-finding windows open on your Orkut screen.

3. Tap the "User" tab on the Orkut screen. Type in the user name or real name of the person you are wanting to find on Orkut. Click "Search."

4. Scroll through the list of Orkut users that matched the searched name. You will see a photo of the users, the name of the users and the cities and states in which they live.

5. Select the person you are looking for by clicking on the link of the person's user name. View the person's profile. You have now found a person on Orkut. You may click on "Add as a Friend" on the left side of your screen to add the Orkut user as a friend on your Orkut account.
