How to Remove a Shower Faucet

Removing a shower faucet is much easier than you might think. There are few components involved. But for the very precise and careful do-it-yourselfer, these step-by-step instructions will help you whether you are changing the faucet hardware or if you need to fix a leak.

Things You'll Need

• Flat-head screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

1. Remove the cap covering the handle (the plastic or metal cover with an H or C on it). It is best to use a flat-head screwdriver to just pop it out.

2. Remove the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

3. Pull the handle toward you so that it comes off the stub. This will expose the water valve.
