Instructions

    • 1

Decide how tall you want to rise your bed. Average height for bed risers is around six inches, but you can go higher than that if you choose. Obtain at least three wood boards per corner of the bed.

    • 2

Use the wood glue to secure all three of the wood boards together. Cover one in glue, and set the second on top. Let dry. Then cover the top of the second board in glue, and place the third board on top of it. Make sure all sides and corners are even. This creates a solid bed riser that is large enough so your bed will securely sit on top of it.

    • 3

Repeat the gluing process with the other three bed risers. Let dry completely.

    • 4

Paint the bed risers if you desire with black paint, or a paint to match your carpet or comforter to blend in more efficiently with your room decor.

    • 5

Incorporate some help with this step if you need to. Place the first bed riser under one corner of the bed, and lift the bed up while pushing the bed riser underneath its corner. Once that bed riser is in place, repeat this process with the other three until all the risers are under the bed and your bed height is now raised to the height you want it at.
