Curly hair is versatile hair. A person with curly hair can always straighten her hair without using damaging chemicals, but it is more difficult for a person with naturally straight hair to get it curly (this is possible by chemically processing the hair). There are many hairstyles for curly hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Comb
  • Brush
  • Bobby pins
  • Hair pins
  • Scrunchies
  1. Step 1

Straighten your hair. Although you love your curly hair, sometimes you may want to wear it straight. Depending on the texture, get it straight using a flat-iron or blow dryer. Chemically straightening the hair will permanently remove the curl.

  2. Step 2

Be proud of your curls and wear your hair down. Long, flowing curls frame the face. This is a great style during the winter (when there is no humidity and less chance for frizz).

  3. Step 3

Put it in a ponytail. Pull your curls up or back into a curly ponytail. It is best to use scrunchies for your ponytail, because they are less damaging than traditional rubber bands.

  4. Step 4

Create a fancy up-do by pinning your hair up. Use bobby pins and hair pins to maneuver the curls the way you want them to look.

  5. Step 5

Braid or twist the front of your hair and allow the back to hang down. This style works well with children and adults alike, especially with those who like to wear their hair away from the face.
