How to Get Tickets to the Masters Practice Round
A ticket to see the Masters Golf Tournament is one of the most coveted and most difficult to get in all of sports. Applications for badges for actual tournament days have been closed since 1972 and even the waiting list for applications has been closed since 1978, except for a couple of years after 2000.
This means the only way to get to see Augusta during Masters week, unless you have friends with badges or can afford one of the few packages for sale, is to go and see a practice day. However, even tickets for those days are not at all easy to come by.
There are two ways to try to get the tickets: through Augusta National or as part of a package from a ticket agency.

Tips & Warnings
Fail to win tickets in the lottery and your only alternative is to book through a ticket agencies. Use a reputable company that can provide you with genuine tickets. Be prepared to pay well over the face value for any tickets you buy this way. Even practice day tickets sell for well over $200 each through the agencies. When budgeting, remember that any hotel within a couple hours drive of the course will probably charge three or four times their usual nightly rate during Masters week.
