Melasma is a skin condition that causes brown and/or brownish gray patches to appear on the cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, forearms or neck. No one is sure what causes it, but a family history does make you more susceptible. Ninety percent of those affected are women.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dermablend concealer
  • Mineral powder make-up
  • Tinted moisturizer

    Cover Melasma

  1. Step 1

Cover the worst spots. Use a strong concealer like Dermablend to cover the worst spots.

  2. Step 2

Dust your face with mineral powder foundation. Bare Escentuals is a good brand. You can start with a light dusting and continue reapplying until you get to the desired amount of coverage.

  3. Step 3

Use a tinted moisturizer that matches the darker tone when symptoms are milder.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sun exposure can make it worse, so make sure to use sun block all year-round.
