Download the ISO from Mininova. This is the file that will initiate the Mac installation on your Compaq. You can download the ISO from a link posted in the Resources section below.

Burn the ISO on your blank DVD. Choose the slowest burn speed to avoid any problems along the way. Burning a DVD at higher speeds will often cause corruptions in the file.

Put the DVD in your Compaq drive and boot it from BIOS. To boot from BIOS on a Compaq, restart the computer and press down F10 as it is restarting.

Select the appropriate settings based on the hardware of your Compaq. You will need to select your processor speed among other hardware options.

Let the operating system install, which should take about an hour. Once you have completed the installation, you have successfully installed Mac OSX Leopard on your Compaq.

That is a really, really, blatantly washed out excuse for instructions on how to do this. IN reality, kids, it's kind of a difficult question to answer without a bevy of information: What kind of compaq is it? Model number? Do you know or have written down what hardware is in your computer? You're going to need all of that to select the proper kexts' to install to work specifically for each component. Some HP compaq laptops don't even support osx86, some just work every so often, and even then the wifi won't work or the sound, etc. It's an extremely time consuming project to take on and you have to know your stuff, otherwise don't even bother. Get linux instead - it's pretty much click-to-install.
