The Motorola C290 is a cell phone available to Sprint customers. Users who own this particular phone can take pictures and browse the Internet with the phone. Owners can also purchase ringtones, and then send those files to the Motorola C290. If you would rather save your money, however, you can always make your own Motorola C290 ringtones. These ringtones will sound just as good as ringtones you purchase, and every ringtone you make is free.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open a Web browser and go to the Myxer page listed in the Resources section below.

  2. Step 2

Click the "Browse" tab found in the blue rectangle on the screen. Then, search for the song saved onto your computer that you want to make into a Motorola C290 ringtone. Highlight that file and click "OK."

  3. Step 3

Click the "Upload" button in the blue box. A window will then open on the page.

  4. Step 4

Click in the box labeled "Start." Type in a number to change when the Motorola C290 ringtone will begin. Do the same for the "Length" text box.

  5. Step 5

    Click "Continue."

  6. Step 6

Enter your Motorola C290 phone number in the "Phone Number" box. Click "Send to Phone." Once you do, a short advertisement will play in the open window. During that time, your Motorola C290 should receive a text message from Myxer. Once the advertisement is over, instructions will appear in the window.

  7. Step 7

Open the Myxer text message. Once you do, read the instructions on the screen to save the ringtone to your Motorola C290.

Tips & Warnings
  • You will be charged for receiving the Myxer text message, as well as accessing the Internet on your Motorola C290, based upon your cell phone service plan.
