MySpace is one of the first and largest social networking sites on the Internet. It attracts a global community of users. Because of the staggering numbers of members, it's easy to connect with friends that share your beliefs. Meeting Christian friends, either locally or internationally, is easy to do on MySpace with a few profile tweaks and a little networking.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Login to MySpace. Rewrite your profile so that it's easily searchable for other Christians that are looking for friends like you. It's important to include things like your specific beliefs, your ideals, and include information about your church and family life as well. The "About Me" and "Interests" sections are especially important.

  2. Step 2

Change the search bar at the top of the webpage from "Web" to "MySpace." Do a search from the MySpace homepage to find people with similar interests. Try key terms geared to your specific interests like "Christian music fan" or "New York City Christian." The search results will bring up individual user pages.

  3. Step 3

Explore the different links to find people with similar interests that you'd like to get to know. Read the profiles of people they're friends with as well and see if you'd like to add them as your friends.

  4. Step 4

Go to the "Additional Resources" section of this article and click link to the "MySpace Groups" page. Click "Religion & Beliefs" and it will bring up a list of religious groups. Join the groups that interest you and start posting messages and chatting with other members. The more you participate, the quicker and easier you'll make new friends.

Tips & Warnings
  • Leave a "Thanks for the ADD" or some other type of friendly comment whenever someone accepts your friend request. People looking to make friends often look at the comments left on their friends' profiles and add people whose comments they like as their friends too.
  • Don't just search for "Christian" and expect to find people with interests similar to yours. All kinds of people with different lifestyles list their religion as "Christian," but that doesn't mean their beliefs will coincide with your own.
