How to Heal Mouth Blisters From Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a fairly rare disorder that is typically caused by a reaction you have to a certain medication. The medications that cause the syndrome will vary from person to person, but will commonly fall within anticonvulsants, sulfonamides, penicillins, anti-inflammatory medications and drugs used to treat gout. Most of the time, the skin will begin to blister, and patches will die, yet some people experience these blisters within their mouths as well. When sores and blisters form in the mouth, there are a few things that you can do to help heal these lesions. Of course, most people dealing with Stevens-Johnson syndrome will inevitably be hospitalized, so your doctor may choose a different course of treatment than the one described to heal your mouth blisters.

1
Stop taking nonessential medications. According to the Mayo Clinic, you'll need to stop taking all medications that are deemed nonessential to treat Stevens-Johnson syndrome, including any blisters that have developed in your mouth. Your doctor will most likely recommend which medications you'll need to stop taking, so make sure to consult a medical professional before doing this on your own.

2
Start using a "special" toothbrush. When you're dealing with mouth sores from Stevens-Johnson syndrome, your doctor will most likely provide you with a special toothbrush to use that won't irritate and worsen the sores in your mouth.

3
Rinse out your mouth with a medicated mouthwash each day. Since mouth sores will need time to heal, you can start using a medicated mouthwash to rinse your mouth. Typically, it will contain an anesthetic as well as an antibiotic to numb the area as well as keep it from becoming infected.
-
4
Clean the sores with a soft swab. To ensure that an infection doesn't set in, you may need to gently clean the sores with a soft swab and an antiseptic/analgesic solution.
-
5
Apply a corticosteroid gel on the sores to aid in the healing. Once your doctor has determined which medication has caused the syndrome, he can prescribe a corticosteroid gel to apply directly to the sore to help the healing process.
-
6
Give yourself time to heal. Treatment for mouth blisters doesn't work overnight, so you'll need to give yourself some time to heal. The mouthwash and antiseptic/ analgesic solution can alleviate most of the pain to let your body do the rest.

Tips & Warnings
You should also make sure to drink plenty of water while suffering from Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Since there will be some skin loss, you'll inevitably lose a certain amount of fluids in the process. You'll need to replace these fluids with plenty of water.
It is best to steer clear of highly acidic and even salty foods while dealing with mouth sores or lesions, as these substances can inflame and irritate your condition.
