      Log onto the Internet and sign up for an account with Shvoong.com. Shvoong is the Internet's leading respository of abstracts and synopses. There is no charge to sign up, but you need a PayPal account to be paid.

      Read through existing abstracts on Shvoong to get a sense of what makes a good abstract. Pay no attention to the star rating on each abstract, as you have no way of knowing who rated it and what their qualifications are for judgment. Just browse through the abstracts to get a better of idea of the basic structure of abstract composition.

      Click on the banner that says "Write and Get Paid," and you will be taken to the writing area. You can either write directly into the field or you can copy and paste from your word processing program. Abstracts on Shvoong must be between 300 and 900 words.

      Click on the drop-down menu that says "I'm writing a/an," and choose either abstract, review or summary. Then click on the drop-down menu that says "Of a/an," and choose whether you're writing about a book, movie, article, academic paper or website.
