How to Apply for a CVS Job
CVS hires hourly employees and salaried management employees. CVS consists of the CVS Pharmacy, which is the pharmacy and store most people are familiar with; Caremark and the MinuteClinic. You can build a satisfying career at CVS, but you have to apply first. Most CVS locations accept the online application, which should be your first stop when you apply for a CVS job.

Go to cvscaremark.com/careers to begin your application (see Resources). On this page, you can also read about what CVS is looking for in its employees. This will help you determine whether you have what it takes to succeed as a CVS employee.

Select "Opportunities" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Choose which area you would like to apply to. You can choose the CVS Pharmacy--which has positions as a pharmacy technician, distribution center positions and retail positions--or Caremark and the MinuteClinic. If you are interested in positions for Caremark or the MinuteClinic, select the appropriate links and you will be directed to a new website to begin your application.

Find the position type that interests you. In each category, you can choose from management positions or hourly positions. When you select one you will be asked to enter your ZIP code. You can then choose which CVS stores you want your application to go to.

Complete the application, filling in all information. You will need to provide all of your work experience, education and references.

Wait to be contacted by a manager for an interview. You may hear from someone quickly or it could take months. It depends on the hiring needs of the store to which you are applying. If you are able to work at any of the surrounding CVS stores, it would be a good idea to have your application sent to all of them. This may increase your chance of being called back for an interview.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have access to the Internet, complete a paper application at any CVS store. Keep in mind that you will need to complete an application for each individual CVS store you wish to apply to.
