How to Set the Time on a Timex Sports Watch

Timex sports watches are most often used by athletes to track pulse and heart rate as well as running time. However, they can also be used as traditional wrist watches. Though Timex sports watches have a lot of functions (and therefore a lot of buttons), setting the time on these watches is fairly simple. The only trick is knowing in what order to push the buttons to set the clock. If the buttons are too small for your fingers, the tip of a ballpoint pen or a chopstick can be used to set the watch. Does this Spark an idea?

Let go of the "Set/Clear" button when the setting reminders appear. These reminders are designed to show the user how to program the watch time. First, an arrow will point to the "Start/Stop" button in the top left corner; this button is used to change the numbers and the date. Next, the arrow will point out the "Mode/Pulse" button, which is located on the bottom of the watch and used to move between the hour, minutes, seconds and date when setting the time. Finally, the watch will remind you to press "Set/Clear" again when the watch is set. To bypass the reminders, press any button on the display.
