Instructions

    • 1

Ride your quad at least three days each week on a practice track.

    • 2

Participate in an endurance activity such as swimming, bicycling or running two days each week, alternating days with riding the quad.

    • 3

Avoid excess sugars. No soft drinks; no exceptions. Sugar weakens stamina and energy levels.

    • 4

Consume protein in the form of red meat no more than two days prior to a race. It takes the digestive system 24 to 72 hours to do its work and racers need to be at peak energy levels on race day.

    • 5

Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated. This will help reduce arm pump and exhaustion.

    • 6

Make reservations if an overnight stay is required. Do this well in advance to eliminate any stress. If camping, make sure to include all camping gear.
