Making a visor out of a bandanna for your dog is almost the same as making a visor bandanna for a person. All you need is a square bandanna that's large enough to tie around your dog's head once it's rolled up. Because your dog's head will be smaller than a person's, you might be able to get away with using a small bandanna or even a handkerchief in a pinch.

Things You'll Need:

  • Square bandanna
  1. Step 1

Fold the bandanna in half diagonally so that it makes a triangle shape.

  2. Step 2

Roll the folded edge of the triangle up toward the point, at least 1 inch. The further you roll it, the smaller the finished visor will be, so you may need to experiment a little bit to find the right size visor for your dog.

  3. Step 3

Lay the top edge of the folded triangle back over the rolled edge, making a square or diamond shape.

  4. Step 4

Fold the loose points of the diamond shape in toward each other so that they meet in the middle.

  5. Step 5

Place the top edge of the folded triangle back in place over its twin. This makes the visor part of the bandanna.

  6. Step 6

Roll the folded and rolled edge of the triangle up toward the point a little more. This traps the folded points of the triangle inside the roll and keeps the visor from unfolding.

  7. Step 7

Tie the visor around your dog's head above his eyes, with the visor part extending out to the front and the roll on the outside top of the visor. You may need to tug on the visor a little bit to get it adjusted just right.
