Make a Term Paper Cover Sheet

The cover sheet for a term paper, when necessary, gives your professor a quick look at the title of your paper and indicates that it belongs to you. The clean blank areas of the cover page also are often where an instructor critiques the work and indicates the grade. While some teachers request specific information and spacing guidelines for the cover sheet, others simply state that you need one.

Instructions

    • 1

Put the cursor about one-third of the way down the page.

    • 2

Center the cursor, type the title of your paper and press "Enter."

    • 3

Type your name, centered, on the line below the title, and press "Enter."

    • 4

Include the name of your class, the date, paper number and possibly the name of your professor if requested.

Tips & Warnings

  • Double-check the instructions from your professor to make sure there are no additional requirements for the cover sheet. You may be asked to include information in the top left or right corners.

  • Standard term papers are written in 12-point Times New Roman.
