Video websites are the future of the Internet as we know it. They allow people to market their businesses, possibly bring fame, and even help you fix things around the house. However, you don't need to create your own videos to build a video website. All you need is a domain, hosting, bandwidth and everyone else's videos.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Domain
  • Hosting
  • Bandwidth
  • Videos
  1. Step 1

Figure out a good name for your new video website. Check reputable hosting sites around the Internet to see if your domain name is being used. If it's not, purchase the domain and set up your hosting plan.

  2. Step 2

Find out how much space will be available for each hosting plan. Video websites must have more bandwidth than regular text websites. Your choice will be determined on how big you want to create your video website.

  3. Step 3

Add videos to your website. They can be your own or many others around the Internet that are looking for more exposure. Most people don't mind you using their videos, but some may require authorization first.

  4. Step 4

Monetize your video website with affiliate program products, pay-per-click ads or even your own ebooks or manuals. Just make sure your site looks more fun as opposed to being stuffed with products.

  5. Step 5

Finish creating your video website with a logo and any text content you want to add. When you're done, start marketing it around the Internet. Email all your friends and acquaintances to get quick hits to the video site. Then work on promoting through banners, directories, social networks and anything else deemed legal.

Tips & Warnings
  • Update your video website frequently with fresh content. If others can upload their own videos, make sure you monitor them for unwanted content. Take your time creating your video website for the best finished product possible.
