Home improvement projects involving concrete can become messy and may lead to your having dried concrete on areas of your house, including vinyl siding. There are several ways in which to remove dried concrete. Cleaning projects that utilize corrosive materials such as this must be done very carefully to avoid personal injury or damage to your home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Remove as much of the dried concrete as you can with a stiff-bristled brush. Avoid using a wire brush as it may scratch your vinyl siding.

  2. Step 2

Fill a bucket with a gallon of water and add in 1/2 cup of muriatic acid. This type of acid is commonly used to clean swimming pools. It is important to introduce the acid to the water and not pour the water into the acid. If you add water to acid, you could injure yourself from the subsequent splashing.

  3. Step 3

Put on a pair of rubber gloves and safety goggles to protect yourself from splashing and burning as you clean the dried concrete from your vinyl siding.

  4. Step 4

Dip your sponge in the water and acid mixture and scrub the cemented areas to remove the compound.
