How to Wrap Bicycle Handlebars

      Purchase the color of bike handle grip tape you like from your local sporting goods store. The grip tape should come in a 1-inch wide roll.

      Stick the end of the roll of tape to the outermost tip of the bike handle.

      Wrap the tape slowly clockwise around the handlebar. Overlap the tape by 1/4 to 1/2 inch with each wrap.

      Tear the tape loose from the roll once you have taped flush to where the bike handle meets the bike frame.

      Repeat on the other handlebar. This method works for both straight and circular handlebars.
