How to Make Log & Wood Cleaner
There are several commercially prepared wood and log cleaners on the market. You can spend a pretty penny trying to clean your home or you can make your own wood and log cleaner. Start by prepping your wood. Vacuum the wood with a brush attachment, then dust the wood with a damp rag to remove all of the dust. Allow the wood to dry out.

Prepare your cleaning mixture by combining equal parts white vinegar and vegetable oil. The white vinegar will work to clean and disinfect the wood and the vegetable oil will moisturize and protect the wood.

Dip your cotton towel in the solution. Wring out your towel and work in a circular motion over the wood. Do not over-saturate the wood, but be generous enough with the cleaner to allow the wood to be moisturized.

Once you are done cleaning with the solution, you can store it for up to a month in a sealed container and use as needed.
