Instructions

    • 1

Measure the height of the window opening with a tape measure. Measure up from the bottom of the window a quarter of the total height, and place a light mark with a pencil. To get a quarter of the height, divide the total height by four.

    • 2

Place the curtain holdback on the spot indicated in Step 1, and mark the holes with a pencil where the screws will need to be placed in the wall. Make sure the curtain holdback is facing the correct way.

    • 3

Drill holes on the marks where the screws need to be installed. The drill bit should be a little smaller than the drywall anchors; this is so that the anchors will fit tightly into the hole.

    • 4

Place the drywall anchors in the drilled holes. Tap the end of the anchors with a hammer to slide them into wall.

    • 5

Place the curtain holdback up to the drywall anchors and place the screws into the center of them. Finally, install the screws tightly with a screwdriver.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use the anchors if installing the holdbacks over wood trim.
