How to Make an FM Radio
FM radios are still popular and widely used even in our modern Internet age. FM radios can be used to listen to radio music stations or even talk radio programs as well. You can build one of these FM radios at home on your own.

Things You'll Need
- 100 ft. Insulated wire
- Soldering iron
- Piezoelectric earphones
- Ferrite loop antenna coil
- Variable capacitor
- Wood block
- Headphones
- Alligator clips
- Germanium diode
Instructions

Solder the black wire attached to the ferrite loop to the center lead of the variable capacitor.

Grab the ferrite loop's unpainted wire, and solder a connection to the right lead of the variable capacitor.

Use your soldering iron to connect one end of the germanium diode to the right lead of the variable capacitor. This is the same end that you just soldered the unpainted ferrite loop wire to in the previous step.

Take the free end of the germanium diode, and solder the piezoelectric earphone wire to that free end.

Solder the second wire attached to the piezoelectric earphones to the variable capacitor's center lead.

Take the red wire from the ferrite coil, and attach it to the antenna wire with an alligator clip.

Attach the remaining green wire from the ferrite coil to a metal water pipe with another alligator clip. This will function as the ground of the wire.
