Instructions

    • 1

Start the motorcycle and let it run for a while to warm it up (several minutes).

    • 2

Pull in the clutch fully and press the shifter down to put the dirt bike into first gear.

    • 3

Slowly pull the throttle and gently let out the clutch. As the dirt bike begins to slowly move, steadily add throttle.

    • 4

Pull in the clutch once more and pull hard on the shifter to put the bike into second gear. Then, once again, pull the throttle and gently let out the clutch.

    • 5

Repeat this process to shift up to fifth gear, and back down again to first gear.

Tips & Warnings

  • Neutral, on nearly all dirt bikes, is located between first and second gear. To put the bike in neutral, shift to first gear, then pull the shifter up only slightly.

  • Always use proper protective gear when operating motorcycles.
