MySpace is a social networking site that allows users to post their profiles and share them with friends. It also allows users to post blogs, write messages to each other, and post music among other functionalities. However, in order to make MySpace an effective social network, you have to be able to find someone's MySpace page and then add them as a MySpace friend. Finding someone's MySpace page is an easy process that you can easily do through the MySpace web interface.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet
  1. Step 1

Point your web browser to MySpace.com. Allow the page to fully load. You can sign in to your MySpace account if you want, but it is not necessary if you are merely trying to find someone's profile.

  2. Step 2

Click the "find friends" tab located across the top of the main navigation bar. A search box will load and appear.

  3. Step 3

Type in the name, display name (this is their MySpace alias), or e-mail address of the person you are trying to find. Click Search after you have typed in the search information.

  4. Step 4

Browse and select from the list of profiles that your search produces. If the profile you are searching for appears, click on the link to view their profile. If you cannot find the person you are looking for, you can always browse profiles (see Step 5).

  5. Step 5

Click the "Browse People" tab located on the main navigation bar across the top of the page.

  6. Step 6

Narrow your search by choosing categories like gender, age and relationship status. You can also click "Advanced search" and choose from other categories like ethnicity, body type, etc.

  7. Step 7

Click the "Update" button located at the bottom of the screen and your search results will post. You can then browse the results for the person you are looking for.
