How to Install Adobe Gamma Loader
Adobe Photoshop is a best-selling graphic design program preferred by many designers for its huge range of capabilities. Later versions of Photoshop are packaged with an application called Adobe Gamma Loader, which helps to calibrate monitor displays perfectly for a given work environment. This application is very important to professional graphic designers who work on projects where exact color matching is crucial. The installation and use of this utility is fairly automated if you own a valid copy of Photoshop 6 or later.
Instructions

1
Install Photoshop 6 or another later version on your computer with the installation disk in the CD drive.
-
2
Close the drive door and follow the on-screen prompts. If you are installing it for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the version key code that came with your copy of Photoshop. As you install Photoshop, Adobe Gamma Loader installs automatically as a software bundle. If you are prompted to reboot your system after installation completes, do so.

-
3
Open the "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu, then double-click the Adobe Gamma icon.
-
4
Click the "Step by Step Wizard" button on the Adobe Gamma screen.
-
5
Enter a name for your monitor profile when prompted. You can enter anything here, but if you're using a computer that you move around a lot, you'll want to give it a name that you'll remember as being distinct to your current location. You'll also want to create separate monitor profiles for all of the other places you tend to work.
-
6
Follow the on-screen prompts to properly calibrate your monitor and remove unwanted color casts. At the end of the process, save your profile.

Tips & Warnings
If you calibrate a laptop screen in your primary office using Adobe Gamma Loader and then move to your home office to work some more, you should re-calibrate your screen again and save it as a separate profile. You can then go back to Adobe Gamma settings to revert and switch back and forth between the profiles as needed, and you'll have true color everywhere you go.
