How to Make a Harry Potter Candy Wand
The Harry Potter books and movies are sensationally popular with both kids and adults. Fans have developed tons of Harry Potter-inspired craft projects--sewing costumes, creating prop replicas, making jewelry and of course, making Harry Potter-inspired food. There are lots of recipes online that mimic some of the wacky magic food that is served in the movie, from pumpkin pasties to butterbeer. And there are also a bunch of recipes that make famous items from the movie edible, like these fun candy wands. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Pretzel rods
- Black and/or red licorice sticks
- 6 ounces of white chocolate chips
- Colored sugar and/or star-shaped sprinkles
- Glass

Melt the white chocolate. You can melt it on the stove over low heat or in the microwave.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.

Pour the melted chocolate into a glass.

Dip the pretzel rods and licorice in the chocolate. Cover some of the rods and licorice with only a few inches of chocolate, so the chocolate is the handle of the wand. Cover some of the rods and licorice completely with chocolate.

As soon as the rods and licorice are dipped in chocolate, shake the sprinkles and/or colored wherever you like. Mix up the designs for more fun.

Let the chocolate harden before serving.
