Enter your account number on this screen.

When you pay credit card bills late, there can be hefty late fees and dings to credit ratings. If you've forgotten to mail out your Lowe's bill in a timely manner, or simply don't want to buy a postage stamp, you can pay your Lowe's bill online. You need a checking account to do this, because part of the process involves registering your checking account with Lowe's online credit center.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the Lowe's Credit Services website to register for online bill paying (see Resources). Click on the "Credit Services" link on the menu along the left side of the screen. You will be directed to another page, where you click on "First Time Users" to register.

    • 2

Complete the registration process online. Insert your account number, which is on the Lowe's credit card or a billing statement. Input the following information for the primary card holder: mother's maiden name, birth date and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

    • 3

Create a password and create two challenge questions. You will also choose an image. When signing into the account in the future, the image should appear.

    • 4

Log into your account and choose the "Pay Online" option. The first time you choose this option, you will be directed to register your checking account information before proceeding with the payment.

    • 5

Register at least one checking account. You need the routing number and checking account number to do this. These are the numbers along the bottom of your checks. The routing number is to the far left, and the checking account number is to its right.

    • 6

Pay your payment by completing the online form that comes up after you choose the "Pay Online" option (and one of your checking accounts has been registered). In the future, you can simply click "Pay Online" to go directly to the payment option.

    • 7

Choose the amount to pay and date to make the payment, and click the authorization. If you have registered more than one checking account, choose which bank account to take the payment from.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the image you chose in Step 2 does not appear when logging into the account, do not insert your password. A missing image can indicate you are at a counterfeit credit website.
