Step 1
Change the "Output" format. The "Output" file is the ".IFO" format. Typically, on the main window of the program, an "Output" or "Convert To" option is available. Modify the option to read ".IFO" or "DVD Video Files." The AVI DivX application automatically is set to the "DVD" option.
-
Step 2
Select the "Output" folder. In the main window of the application, locate "Output Folder" or "Save To." Some programs have an "Option," "Tool" or "Preference" tab in the toolbar section. Enter the name of the folder to save the conversion. You can use the default directory as well.
-
Step 3
Insert the AVI video to convert. You can add one file or several at the same time. View the quick toolbar for "Add," "Add Files," "Plus Symbol" or "Browse." Select the AVI files from your hard drive. Press the "Open" tab.

Step 4
Click the "Convert" or "Start" buttons to begin. It takes approximately five minutes to convert AVI to IFO.
