Facebook is one of the easiest to use social networking sites. That is probably why it has become so popular. The best thing about Facebook is that you can use it as little or as much as you want. Just be careful or you will find yourself addicted to it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  1. Step 1

    Head to Facebook's homepage (see resources). This is where you will need to sign up. Don't worry it is free.

  2. Step 2

    Fill in your name, email address, and password. Then select whether you are male or female and then submit your birthday. That's it, your done.

  3. Step 3

    The first thing you want to do it edit your profile. Click "Edit my profile" and upload a picture of yourself. This will help your friends and family members find you. There may be ten people with the same name so when they look at the picture they can see they have found the right friend.

  4. Step 4

    Post what is on your mind. There is a box for this on your homepage. Just type in what you want everyone to know and press enter. Your friends are now updated on what you are doing.

  5. Step 5

    Find friends using the friend search box in the top right hand corner. Type in their first and last names. Search through the pictures until you find your friend. Click, "send a friend request". You will have to type in a series of letters that are displayed. Once you do, your friend request is sent.

  6. Step 6

    Take quizzes. Once you pick the quizzes or games you want to play you must allow them to access your information by clicking on "allow". Don't worry this is safe. Your results will be displayed for only your friends to see.

  7. Step 7

    Send your friends Flair, Easter eggs, or trinkets. They will send you some back.

  8. Step 8

    Create a note by clicking on note in the tab on your home page that says "Note". You can share your note with your friends and they can make notes to share with you.

  9. Step 9

    If you want to comment on someone's status or activity on Facebook, you can click the word comment which is in blue below each post.

  10. Step 10

    If you like what someone has said or done you can click the blue like button beneath each post.

Tips & Warnings
  • Upload more than just one picture of yourself. Share with your family and friends fun things that you have done lately.
  • It is very easy to become addicted to facebook and not get any of your housework done.
