Step 1
First of all if you are at home you have more control of what you eat. Don’t advantage of being home and cook your own food. Don’t eat T.V. dinners or order out; make an effort to eat healthy.
-
Step 2
If you are out, find out what choices you have. Ask your friends and colleagues about restaurants around your school or work area. Go in and see what options are in the menu; don’t hesitate to ask questions. If you don’t like what you see, go to another place and check out their options. You can most likely find a salad or something similar.

Step 3
If you are not that hungry, then don't give in to buying junk food. Buy a fruit or healthy drink.
-
Step 4
Yet another option is to bring food from home. This might not sound fun, but you would be surprised how much money and time you will be saving by bringing lunch from home. You can't imagine how many times I have bought something, went back to class only to find out I have the wrong order. It gets frustrating to waste so much time and end up going to class late. So bring lunch is a really great option.

Step 5
Remember, your health is important, so don't forget: make an effort to change your eating habits. Your mentality matters; if you tell yourself out loud, "I will make an effort," believe me it will make a difference.
